TALENT Concrete Training Ltd (TALENT) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and the security of the information that you provide to us. We are the data controller of the personal information provided by candidates on TALENT training courses.
In this Privacy Policy we aim to be honest and clear about how we respect your privacy and how we handle the information we collect from you.
Any reference to you and your in this Privacy Policy, means the person whose personal information is collected, used or processed by us.
We will only use your information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 (as amended and updated or replaced from time to time)(referred to as the "Act") and other applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").

Information we collect from you
All personal information collected by TALENT is obtained from submissions made directly to us from training course application forms, emails and telephone calls.
When you submit an application to a training course operated by TALENT you provide the following personal information: name, address, email and telephone contact details, age, nationality, employment status and relevant previous experience and qualifications at time of enrolment.
We do not collect any technical information such as the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the internet, browser type and version, operating system or platform. We do not employ web analytics tools or cookies to track your use of our website or collect personal information.
How we use your personal information
The personal information we collect from you is stored on TALENT’s own data storage at TALENT’s registered address. Your information is not published online. Personal information is used to provide you with access to TALENT’s training material, the TALENT Discussion Forum and to enrol you for examination.
In order to do this, we share only the information provided on your application form required by our following partners in the United Kingdom:
The Institute of Concrete Technology (ICT, http://ict.concrete.org.uk/). Personal information is provided by TALENT only at the time of enrolment for an examination to the ICT, administrators for the UK’s industry-endorsed qualification framework.
Concrete Technology & Construction Training (CTCT, http://ctct.org/). Personal information is provided by TALENT to create a user profile to provide access to the training material on CTCT’s distance learning platform. User progress is collected in monthly reports to aid in preparation for examinations, and to provide progress feedback to candidates’ employers upon request only.
Security
On the Website we use reasonable endeavours to safeguard the confidentiality of your personally identifiable information but we do not use encryption to store your personally identifiable information. This is because we do not believe that the personal information we currently collect warrants such measures and the accompanying loss of speed experienced. You should be aware that "perfect security" does not exist on the Internet.
How Long We Store Your Personal Data
We will not retain your personal information for any longer than is necessary for our purposes, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements.
We endeavour to provide all candidates with access to TALENT’s training material and support materials on the TALENT Discussion Forum for as long as TALENT continues to operate these services. Consequently, TALENT will maintain a record of the personal information you have provided to us until such time as our services cease, or you request your personal information to be removed from our records.
We will remove your personal information from our records if you ask us to do so, but we may still need to keep your information for ongoing contractual purposes if you continue to be our customer and for legal, accounting and regulatory reporting reasons.
Control of your password
You may not disclose your password for TALENT online training material or Discussion Forum to any third parties nor share it with any third parties. If you lose control of your password, you may lose substantial control over your personally identifiable information. Therefore, if your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately change your password under “Edit Profile” on the TALENT Discussion Forum, by clicking on "Lost your password?" under “Log In” at ctct.org, or by contacting us at info@talentconcretetraining.org.uk.
If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party.
We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of the Privacy Policy.
Your Privacy Rights
- Access to your personal information: You can request access to a copy of your personal data that we hold.
- Right to withdraw consent: If you have given us your consent to use your personal information, you can withdraw your consent at any time. This will terminate your access to TALENT training course material and Discussion Forum. You can ask us to delete your personal information where it is no longer necessary for us to use it, you have withdrawn consent, or where we have no lawful basis for keeping it. We may not be able to erase your personal information in certain circumstances, for example where we need to comply with a legal obligation or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
- Rectification: You can ask us to change or complete any inaccurate or incomplete personal information held about you.
- Restriction: You can ask us to restrict the personal information we use about you where you have asked for it to be erased or where you have objected to our use of it.
We may need to verify your identity in order to process your request and ask you to provide valid identification to allow us to do so.
